Louise Woodruff Podiatry

Under the direction of skilled podiatrist Louise Woodruff, our dedicated team delivers personalized, comprehensive foot and ankle care to every patient.

Louise Woodruff Podiatry is a licensed podiatric care facility in Queensland providing comprehensive foot and ankle treatment. Our experienced team, led by Louise Woodruff, delivers expert podiatric care using the latest techniques and technology. Common reasons local patients visit our practice include:

Foot Conditions

Type II Diabetes

Regular podiatric care is crucial for individuals with type 2 diabetes, as elevated blood sugar levels can lead to serious foot complications. Diabetes often causes reduced blood flow and nerve damage in the feet, making it harder to feel injuries or infections.

Flat feet

Flat feet, also known as fallen arches, occur when the arch of the foot collapses, causing the entire sole to make contact with the ground. While some people may experience no discomfort, others can suffer from significant pain in their feet, ankles, knees, hips, and lower back.

Toenail Issues

Toenail problems can range from common fungal infections and ingrown nails to more complex conditions like psoriasis affecting the nails. Podiatrists frequently treat these issues, which can cause discomfort, embarrassment, and in some cases, serious complications if left untreated.

Aching Legs

Arching or bowed legs, medically known as genu varum, is a condition where the legs curve outward at the knees, creating a distinctive bow-like appearance. While it’s common in young children as part of normal development, persistent bowing in adults can lead to uneven weight distribution, premature joint wear, and chronic pain in the knees, hips, and ankles.

Foot Pain

Foot pain can significantly impact daily life, making simple activities like walking or standing a challenging ordeal. This discomfort can stem from various causes, including plantar fasciitis, stress fractures, nerve compression, overuse injuries, or structural issues like bunions and hammer toes.

Corns, Callusus and Warts

Corns, calluses, and warts are among the most common foot concerns that can cause significant discomfort and concern for patients. Corns and calluses develop as the body’s natural response to friction and pressure, often appearing in areas where shoes rub or where abnormal foot mechanics create excessive pressure points.

Rebates

Our Podiatry services are eligible for rebate under extras cover from all major private health funds. The rebate amounts are determined solely by the health fund and not the podiatrist. We can provide quotes and item codes for specific services, on initial consultation. We also service people that have a Enhanced Primary Care plan and holder’s of a Department of Veterans’ Affairs gold or white card.
